Because inaccurate, derogatory information can lower your Tenant Score and may indicate fraudulent activity, it's best to dispute any potential inaccuracies as soon as you find them. Check credit report dispute status At your request, Rent Verify initiates an investigation of any  information disputed by you. Rent Verify may make changes to your Tenant Score report based on information you provide with your dispute. Otherwise, upon receipt of your dispute, Rent Verify contacts the Landlord or Property Managment company reporting the information you disputed, supplies them all relevant information and any documents you included with the dispute, and instructs them to review your dispute, verify all information they are reporting about the account, provide us a response to your dispute, and update their records and systems accordingly. Investigations are usually concluded within 30 days of the date we receive your request. We recommend allowing up to 30-45 days for the dispute process. If you file a dispute online, you’ll be notified when you can view a credit report online that includes the results of our investigation. (This is the fastest, easiest way to get your results). With an online rental dispute, you will be notified via email and given access to the results of the investigation immediately. If you log in to check your dispute status during the process, you will see the original, uncorrected version of your Tenant Score report – the version that was generated when you filed the dispute. If the data provider (landlord or property management company) updates the information, you will see a corrected copy within your Tenant Score dashboard at the conclusion of the dispute process.
